Laying the Foundation for a New Beginning: Our Why, What, and How
Serving Rutherford County—Murfreesboro, Smyrna, La Vergne, and neighbors.
For many people, a job is more than a paycheck—it’s dignity, stability, and a fresh start. That belief is the heartbeat behind Foundation Staffing Solutions, and it’s why our “About Us” story isn’t just a company page—it’s a promise to employers, job seekers, and our community. Here’s the deeper story of our Why, What, and How.
Our Why
We believe everyone deserves a second chance. When people in early recovery are given meaningful opportunities, businesses gain dependable team members and communities grow stronger. That conviction drives everything we do: how we design our services, how we prepare candidates, and how we support our clients over the long haul. It’s not abstract—it’s the everyday reminder that work can restore purpose and momentum in someone’s life.
Our What
Foundation Staffing Solutions connects businesses with reliable talent while helping people in recovery rebuild their lives through work. We handle the practical load—recruitment, placement, onboarding, payroll, and retention support—so operations leaders can focus on output and safety while building a more resilient workforce. Our goal is simple: deliver a staffing experience that strengthens both sides of the employment relationship—employer and employee—so that performance, reliability, and morale move together in the right direction.
What that looks like in practice:
- For employers: A partner that understands shift demands, quality standards, and the cost of downtime—and that shows up with ready-to-work talent and clear communication.
- For job seekers: A structured path back into the workforce with encouragement, expectations, and practical supports that make Day 1 and Week 1 stick.
Our Story (and the values behind it)
This mission is personal. Trey and Breanna Surles are both in long-term recovery, and they know firsthand the barriers that come with starting over. Trey’s background in business development taught him that skills and strategy mean more when they serve a purpose; helping others the way someone once helped him gives the work its meaning. Breanna’s lifelong calling to care for people—pursuing nursing and working toward becoming a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner—shapes the compassion and accountability we bring to every placement. Recovery gave us the chance to rebuild our lives; Foundation Staffing exists to multiply that chance for others.
Our How
We start by listening to production targets, quality metrics, safety requirements, and culture. Then we prepare candidates with workforce readiness and training. Finally, we provide ongoing support so both businesses and employees can thrive over time. To us, this is more than staffing; it’s building stronger foundations for lasting success.
How that plays out day-to-day:
- Listen & scope. We clarify role profiles, shift needs, must-have skills, safety requirements, and success metrics so we’re recruiting to the realities of your floor, not a generic job post.
- Prepare & place. Candidates get job-readiness guidance and expectations upfront; employers get candidates who know what “good” looks like before they clock in.
- Support & grow. We stay engaged—attendance check-ins, feedback loops with supervisors, and retention touchpoints—so good hires become great team members.
What “a second chance” looks like in Rutherford County
- For employers: A steady pipeline of local, ready-to-work associates who understand attendance, safety, and output—and a partner that handles the administrative lift so you can hit your numbers.
- For candidates: A respectful on-ramp back to work that matches abilities to opportunities, with guidance that builds momentum one shift at a time.
- For the community: Stronger households, safer workplaces, and a more resilient local economy as people rediscover dignity through work.
